Hello guys I am trying to remove my kitchen Faucet from my old sink and having a hard time trying to remove this nut. Is there a special socket or tool to remove it? If not Do my fellow redditors have any tips or tricks to remove this thank you!

First of all, I know stuff all about plumbing, so please accept my apologies if the way I describe things doesn’t make sense.

I live in a 4th-floor apartment, in a new-ish building (built in the last 5 to 10 years). The bathroom has this weird drain in the middle of the room, where, about a foot or so under the floor, there’s a small pool of water that just sits there. And, a lot of the time, it really smells. I’ve had a plumber take a look at it, and he said that the water from the shower and sink flow through it, and that I can flush the old water out by running the shower and sink together for five or ten minutes. This helps a little bit, but the smell tends to come back before too long. I’m also confused as to why there should be a pool of water sitting there to begin with – surely this is a sanitary issue?

I am attempting to DIY plumb up a sink, but I think somehow during the process I managed to crack the P trap?

The house is from the 40s, but not sure how old/what the trap is made from.

Thoughts? Call in a pro?

The other day, my ice maker valve has a threaded nut on it. And I went to remove it and actually grip it way to hard, not noticing it was 1 piece and threaded on the pipe. I actually moved the entire pipe over about an inch or 2. I’m not sure what happened down beneath the drywall but there are no signs of water leaking so far. I’m planning on checking behind the drywall to see what happened. But should I be worried about this. Can copper bend that easily?

Hey guys. I have a Noritz p-950c tankless water heater. For the last few weeks, I have had multiple occurrences of hot water stopping and being replaced by ice cold water when a shower was being used in 2 bathrooms at the same time. When I check the water heater, it displays error code 29. Switching it off for a few mins fixes it. Do you guys know what is the issue here and how do I go about fixing it? Thanks!
